some hungarian habits

Every country has its own traditions and customs. By knowing about them, you are well prepared for a visit, an extended stay in Hungary. In interviews with Hungarians, we got to know their tradition:

- congratulate for the birthday by pulling the ear.
- on Eastern: put perfume on a woman, you know, and she will give you an easter egg and or wine.
- ending school, you achieve a bag with a cookie, salt and forint.
- to get rid of black cats and misfortune, make 3 steps backwards
- to get invited to someone’s wedding, step on the back of his/her shoe
- if you`ve got the shirt on backwards, change it on the doorstep
- the place you stumble will be the place of your next rendezvous
- take some coins for the bride dance, if you are invited to a wedding
- sit down and count till ten if you have to return for something, you have forgotten at home
- touch your knob, if you see a chimney sweeper, it brings luck.
- as a woman, don`t sit down at the tablecorner if you want to marry within seven years.
